Monogram guide

There are three common ways to arrange a three-letter monogram. Conventions vary by family and region, so you choose the one that's right for you when you personalize your item.

Traditional

First initial, LAST initial (larger, in the centre), middle initial. For Mary Ann Jones, that's M J A.

In name order

First, middle, last, all the same size: M A J.

Couple

First person's initial, shared LAST initial (larger, in the centre), second person's initial — the same layout as Traditional, applied to two people sharing a surname.

Whichever you pick, the read-back on the order form always spells out exactly what will be engraved before you submit.
